ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

BatoChemLab has been in the forefront of carrying out Environmental Studies for manufacturing industries, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and International bodies.

We carry out the following Environmental Services

  • Environmental Audit
    The Environmental Audit for industries is to assist the industries management to review current performance and to identify areas for improvement. The Environmental Audit examines the companies’ practices and ensures that such practices conform with relevant regulations and in accordance with the companies’ environmental policy which involves the health of workers, amongst other things.

    According to Section 21 of the Federal Ministry of Environment Regulation S.I.9 of 1991, Environmental audit is a mandatory exercise for all existing industries.

  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
    Environmental Impact Assessment is an informational tool for obtaining permit for a proposed project or activity.

    Environmental Impact is essentially designed to determine the environmental impact of a proposed project on human beings as well as the environment and to recommend appropriate investigation and monitoring programmes that would be incorporated into the project.

    At BatoChemLab, we ensure that our EIA projects are executed in affiliation with other accredited Environmental Consultants of high repute.
  • Compliance Monitoring
    Compliance monitoring is an assessment designed to determine whether or not the wastes or discharges from operating activities meet the stipulated guidelines by FME, DPR and other regulatory bodies, prior to being discharged.

    It involves regular and periodical analysis of discharges from identified points of reference.

  • Other Environmental Projects
    Amongst other commissioned environmental studies is comprehensive study of occurrence, distribution and control of Typhoid fever and other associated water-borne diseases in Lagos State. The project involved microbiological analysis of potable water collected from all the waterworks and a number of public taps in the entire State from Badagry to Epe. The highly successful project was commissioned to us by the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning.
